Even more painting practice! Now to figure out how to make my comps less flat-looking, hmm...

I wanted to expand on a few of the short warm-ups from 100 Sonatas [link] so I picked "Flag in the Ground" by Sonata Arctica, since I love that song a friggin' ton. Listen to it here: [link]

Looks cool. If you're looking to add more depth, I think a little atmosperic intereferance on the trees might help a little.
It's a bit tricky with this one because the rider and horse aren't overlapping anything....
But yeah, 3 basic tricks to depth are atmospheric interferance (stuff gets lighter as it goes away due to moisture in the air) Overlapping, and making stuff more detailed when it's closer and less detailed when it's farther away.
