I'm so excited for the new Pixar movie that's coming out this summer! Titled "Up", it's about an old fogey named Carl Fredrickson and a boy scout named Russel who travel to the jungles of South America by tying tons of balloons to Carl's house and flying across the world. There they meet a dog who can talk with the help of a special collar, and a giant rare bird who likes chocolate.

I mean seriously, how many other movies do you know have that premise? This is why I love Pixar.

So I wanted to do a lil' quick fanart of two of the characters: Dug the talking dog, and Kevin the giant chocolate-loving bird.

Drawn straight into Sketchbook Pro and then colored in Photoshop. All those colors on Kevin were so much fun to paint. *_*

Did you hear about the little girl whose dying wish was to see "Up", so they made her a special DVD and played it for her, like, hours before she died? ;~;

That story was so sweet... I nearly cry almost everytime I hear about "Up" now...

They were the greatest characters. xD I loved how Kevin cuddled Russle, clonked Carl and then "D:< SQUAAAA" at Doug. x] SO CUTE

Awesome picture. 83 The sketch itself is epic and the coloring style is very pretty

d00d, I saw the new (longer) trailer with these guys when I went to see Monsters vs, Aliens, and I am SO psyched to see this movie. :D And this piece is adorable -- I love the expressions, and the colours! 8D
