The final stuff for another one of my classes this term; a five-week class for character timing on four-legged animals, specifically dogs. We had to animate a dog walking, trotting, sitting, scratching, and all the transitions between. Most people used the keyframes provided (and in retrospect, I probably should have too, as it would've been less work...) but! I decided to animate Kylie in wolf form from Lunargyros. XD

So, here's the animation, with a teeny bit of cleanup but not much. Had to redo the trot three times or something...and the ears and tail with the secondary motion are always the hardest part to do. @_@

I really love the movement of his walk, it is very fluent. I love how his buut listf slightly in the air before he drops it lol. This is very inspiring seeing as I'm getting into animation. Thank you.

Wow! Amazing!
I'm currently working with Adobe Flash, the newest one.
You have any pointers or advice?
I'm trying to figure out how to do this exact animation but with humans.

Well this animation was done by hand, it was just put together in Flash. For humans, you just need to study a lot of walk cycles. They're one of the hardest things to animate, actually!

This is just so amazing! I have trouble drawing the same exact character twice, but to repeat it like that and get the motion to come so smoothly and naturally... I am beyond impressed.

Also slightly hypnotized...

Wow, it looks like you cleaned up the trot quite a bit, lookin good, you should finish cleaning it, maybe even color it, then it'll be even more super rad.
Kicks the crap out of my dog, mine looked like ass, and I want to be an animator - heh

I think the trot only looks cleaner 'cause I traced over my original frames in the process of redoing it twice. XD;

And dude, your animation for Tim's class kicked ass! I loved that whole slow-motion fight scene.
