MST3K Characters - Series 1 by LynxGriffin MST3K Characters - Series 1 by LynxGriffin
As may or may not be obvious, I am a huge Mystery Science Theater 3000 junkie, and I rewatch my DVDs of them frequently. XD

I thought it would be fun to do some simple character designs based off of quotes from MST3K episodes. So, here are three starters! The first is from the infamous "Manos: The Hands of Fate," the second from "Space Mutiny," and the third from "Angels Revenge."

I'd like to do more sometime, but I have to sniff out more good quotes from Joel/Mike and the bots. Suggestions are certainly welcome!

Why not the two policemen from "Laserblast"?

Cop #1: You idiot!!!

Servo: "I'm a dumb, scrawny cracker!"

Suggestions for quotes:

"I have no powers, but I can skip reasonably well!"
"All the Hitler rides and games! The Hitler salt and pepper shakers!"
"Remember to believe in magic... or I'll kill you."

You could also do "Petey the Plane" from "Skydivers", or "Watch out for snakes!" from "Eegah!", or even something about "Peter Graves at the University of Minnesota." All gold!

I must say, the 'Manos' dog looks awesome...
Incidentally, you win the internet. Congrats.

Space Mutiny is my favorite episode!
What was up with Thick McRunfast randomly screaming during action scenes? They add more hilarious moments.

"Ryder: WHOOOO!!! (charges down staircase)"
Tom Servo: Who took my purse?!

"Ryder: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! (climbs out of moving space-cart)"
Tom Servo: Well, I'm glad I got THAT out of my system!

Mystery Science Theater 3000 rocks! man. Love your ideas, I've seen Space Mutiny. Ihave to say I never laughed so much for one episode. But riddle me this? Have you seen The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Horribly Mixed Up Zombies? Trust me its not as groovy as it sounds.

The middle frame reminds me of a short on Youtube called 'We put our faith in Cloud Strife!", in which the flim FF: Advent Children has its audio replaced with lines from the MST3K episode of 'space mutany'. Its quite clever and funny, I highly recomend it. Now, as for suggestions...

'Torgo!'

'Your Weapons have on effect me!'

'Watch out for snakes!'

'This is where the fish lives.'

'But Mom, my nuts.'

'Notice the indentation in both thier foreheads?' 'NOOOOOOOOO!'

'Everyone knows, its slinky skull!'

'That squares my breasts!'

and finally...

'Reverse racconman!' and 'Mmmmm, Pencils are good.'

I love you for doing this. I can hear the squeaky voice of the nerd as he says that line XD The girl's pretty cute too. There's something classic about the combo Big-Scary-Thing and Cute-Little-Girl.

"HA HA, the joke's on you--I don't have any friends!"

Damn...I'm afraid I've been infected with Hockey Hair. You....you may want to get yourself checked.

Gosh it's been so long since I've seen that or an MST3K.

Sci-fi felt that they could better use the time slot on something else, like infomercials, LOL. Well, I know that Mike Nelson has his own little MST-esk project, Riftracks. Its basically an mp3 that you download and play while watching the film. Not the same as MST3K, but still funny.

You can buy boxsets of them at most DVD stores, although some are harder to find than others. They also sell a few as singles (like Manos).

And yes, one of my absolute favorite shows!

Yes, the show is very cool. It's basically one guy (and his two robot buddies) watch through old, incredibly bad movies, and make fun of them through running commentary.
