I decided I wanted to do a 3D model version of the Sailgull (as seen here: [link]
) the same way I've been working on one for the Wolf Spider. It came out quite a bit faster, but I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out!
So, here's a turnaround of it! The aspect ration seems to have squished it a bit; it's originally 1280x720.
Process was basically: Modeled in Maya, UV'd in HeadusUV, Modeled and refined in ZBrush, textured in Body Paint, refined textures in Photoshop, posed again in ZBrush, lit and rendered in Maya, and composited in Shake. Phew!
