Pokemon - Rotten Luck
While my younger siblings were big into Pokemon when it first came out -playing the original games, watching the anime, collecting the trading cards- I didn't develop any interest in it until late in the 4th generation, when many of my friends were playing the new games. I picked up Platinum, and then later HeartGold, and enjoyed both of them. I held only a tangential interest in the actual story and characters. What I had the most fun with was the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" aspect, and my favorite parts were filling out the Pokedex and capturing or trading rare Pokemon with friends. I ended up clocking over 500 hours in Platinum in order to completely fill up the National Pokedex. While I captured or traded every Pokemon that I could legitimately, there were quite a few that I just couldn't get, so the ones I couldn't I used Action Replay codes to obtain.
When Pokemon Black and White came out, I ended up receiving White as a birthday gift, and again enjoyed the game. I played through it on

Remember, if you can't find exactly what you're looking for, try adapting one of the patterns. For example, a tiger can easily be turned into a lion, an elephant into a wooly mammoth, an elf into a goblin, or combine the upper half of a mermaid with the lower half of a pony to get a centaur.
